The series follows the Sutton family, led by police officer Eddie Sutton and his wife Jenn, as they relocate from a comfortable suburban life to a working-class neighborhood in the titular Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles. Eddie, determined to make a positive impact in the crime-ridden community where he grew up, buys and renovates his childhood home, bringing his three children—Cassie, Lizzie, and Taylor—into an environment vastly different from what they're used to. The show explores the family's struggles to adapt to their new surroundings, the dangers and temptations faced by the children, and Eddie's efforts to balance his demanding job fighting crime with his commitment to his family and his community, all while striving to maintain their values in a challenging urban landscape.
