The series follows the comedic marriage of Dharma Freedom Finkelstein Montgomery and Gregory "Greg" Clifford Montgomery. Greg is a straight-laced, intellectual, and logical Assistant U.S. Attorney from a wealthy, aristocratic family, whose life has always been meticulously planned. Their immediate, passionate connection leads to them marrying on their first date, much to the dismay of their vastly different families. The show explores the hilarious culture clashes that arise from their opposing upbringings and worldviews, as they navigate the challenges of marriage, family dynamics, and their respective careers, demonstrating that love can bridge even the widest divides.
