Sister Bertrille is a young, well-meaning but often clumsy nun at the Convent San Tanco in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Due to her extremely light weight and the stiff winds of the Caribbean, combined with the large, starched coif of her nun's habit, she discovers she has the ability to fly. This unexpected gift leads to a series of comical situations and misadventures as she tries to use her ability for good, often inadvertently causing chaos or complicating the lives of her fellow nuns, especially the strict but ultimately kind Reverend Mother Superior. The show blends whimsical fantasy with lighthearted humor, focusing on Sister Bertrille's innocent attempts to help others while keeping her extraordinary ability a secret.
