Dan Turner, a young archivist specializing in restoring damaged video and audio tapes, takes on a mysterious assignment to reconstruct the contents of a collection of videotapes salvaged from a fire in 1994. The tapes belong to Melody Pendras, a documentary filmmaker who was investigating a secretive, cult-like community residing in an apartment building called the Visser. As Dan meticulously repairs and watches Melody's footage, he becomes increasingly engrossed and disturbed by her findings, uncovering unsettling rituals, strange occurrences, and a sinister supernatural presence. The series intertwines Dan's present-day investigation with Melody's chilling discoveries from the past, blurring the lines between reality and the supernatural, leading Dan down a dangerous rabbit hole where he fears he might suffer the same fate as Melody.
