The Amateur (2025)

Charles Heller is a brilliant but introverted CIA cryptographer whose world shatters when his wife is brutally murdered in a terrorist attack in London. Consumed by grief and a thirst for revenge, and frustrated by the CIA's apparent inaction and their unwillingness to assign him to the case, Heller uncovers classified information that implicates his superiors in a vast conspiracy involving false flag operations and civilian casualties. He uses this compromising intel to blackmail the agency into providing him with combat training and resources, transforming himself from a desk-bound analyst into a rogue operative. As he embarks on a dangerous global mission to hunt down those responsible for his wife's death, Heller finds himself entangled in a complex web of espionage, moral dilemmas, and high-stakes action, constantly pursued by the very agency he blackmailed, all while struggling with the personal cost of his vengeful quest.
