The Squid Girl (2010)

A mischievous girl from the ocean, determined to conquer humanity as punishment for polluting the seas, finds herself stranded in a small beachside town after damaging a local restaurant. Forced to work off her debt, she gradually forms unlikely friendships with the people she once sought to subjugate. As she learns about human culture, her naive but endearing attempts at world domination lead to comedic misadventures, ultimately making her question whether she truly wants to rule over humanity or simply be a part of it.
